朱永康教授根据长期的临床观察发现甲状腺癌术后患者主要表现为气阴两虚、脾肾阳虚、肝郁痰凝三种证型。气阴两虚证常见症状为神疲乏力、五心烦热、口干多汗等,脾肾阳虚证常见症状为面色白、四肢不温、腰膝酸软等,肝郁痰凝常见症状为情志抑郁、胸胁不适、头晕目眩等。分别以益气养阴,温补脾肾,疏肝解郁、理气化痰法治之,方选生脉散、右归丸、柴胡舒肝散加减,每获良效。
